Going Back to Stock Exhaust

Q: I have a 2006 Harley Sportster XL1200R. I have changed the screaming eagle mufflers to the stock ones. Couldn’t find a video for this on your site? Anyway I managed to swap them over, but now with the standard stock pipes on its making a banging noise from the engine when revved. Do I need to do anything else? Any tune?

A: Going back to stock exhaust, If there was no “banging sound ” before you swapped your mufflers, then go back and inspect everything you addressed in order to complete the muffler change over. Was something left loose? Yes, if EFI you will need to remap for stock set-up or if carb re-jet.
